Question adding remote wind readout to ST-60 system

I hope I have not missed a prior applicable discussion in looking around this forum. I have a chance to buy an ST-60 multi (graphic) readout. Presently I have a system with the three instruments in the cockpit, wind, depth, and speed. All are Raymarine ST-60. I also have a speed and depth remote at the nav desk area. A friend has for sale a working "multi" that would enable me to have wind speed and direction inside the boat. This would be a great feature... IF... it will actually plug into and read the info from our 2002 vintage SeaTalk bus.
The bus cable is already in place and the remote ST-60 speed/depth head works fine.
With technology, there's always the allure of having a bit more!

I will try for an answer on the Raymarine advice site, but registration takes more than a day for approval.
Perhaps this is simple plug-n-play. If not, I would rather find out before changing out the instruments.
Note: I have the ST-60 instruments and Not the ST-60 Plus series.

Thanks for any help.

Re: adding remote wind readout to ST-60 system

You just need a Seatalk cable and daisy chain in the new display into your seatalk network.

One of these:

If all of your ports are used up, then you'll need to include it in your chain...which means multiple of those cables above.

Good Heavens !
Could electronics actually be *that* simple!? (sometimes...)
Seriously, I shall ask my friend more about the instrument and have a price discussion.
