Well there's there's a good draft craft beer selection and smoked chicken wings at Q's on the Bay

And there's a West Marine so you can get some new fuel filters :-)

Re: Beaufort,SC

aa3jy........caster oil from days of old comes close, mom would give it to us as kids in the 50's. I do love how you burp it up and continue to taste it for hrs after, but you do what is needed to get her running again.

Yep..any other time it would have been a non-event.. but not at 4am while crossing the Charleston Harbor channel the engine dies and now you have the harbor pilots of big ships transiting the channel now yelling on the radio at you...

Yikes!

Just curious, did you do a sécurité or a pan-pan? Would you consider that an appropriate cause for one?

Now waiting on weather for a quick jump outside to Brunswick, Ga. Have to admit the present location, Station Creek, has been very pleasant, surrounded by marshes of low country and very secluded with an occasion low flying aircraft from nearby Paris Island marine airfield..
