Nicro 4" Solar Vent Cutout - 5" OK?

I've just removed an older non-working solar vent, and am left with a 5" hole in my cabin roof. The only markings I can find on it are "Intersolar" and "Made in England." I've searched, and can't find any reference to this model.

Regardless, even if I tracked it down - I'd prefer to replace it with something current and easily replaceable. While many seem to have reservations with the newer Nicros, I'm not really seeing any alternatives out there.

According the docs at Marinco, the Nicro 4" solar specifies a 4 3/4" hole for deck mounting. I called them to see if 5" was too large, but the tech had no idea and wasn't able or willing to open one up to check for me.

Any know if the new Nicro/Marinco 4" solar fan will properly seal in a 5" cutout?

Not sure about the nicros, but these will work. You could put some marinetex in around them for cosmetics.

I replaced my old Nicro with this one. About half the price and much better reviews. It's still going strong.

Thanks for the pointer on this one.

Since it's from Amazon and returns are easy, I took a chance on it. And...it's an exact match for the one taken out, right down to the screw holes. Fits perfectly.
