dipstick for Universal M4-30 replaces A4

I have a Universal M4-30 that replaced the Atomic 4 in my 1978 O'Day 32' cc, and getting to the dipstick in the engine room requires Houdini-like contortions to check oil level. Does anyone have a suggestion for either an extended dipstick, or some kind of remote oil-level sensing?
