Wilcox-Crittenden Seacock threads?
Long time no see everyone! I have a question on older Wilcox-Crittenden in my C&C 38. I know they are NPS to the through hull, but what is the connection on top to go to pipe? NPT or NPS? I can find NPT barbs and such in bronze everywhere but I suspect these are NPS and need a Groco or Spartan NPS to barb (and a rubber washer) fitting.
Anyone know? Really don't want a barley threaded connection on my engine intake. Seems like a poor plan.
Also, I should never assume anything. ! I took the adapter that was there (looks like a bronze garden hose adapter) and the PO had used a small brass adapter between the two bronze ones and it had completely corroded so it wasn't immediately visible. Looked all bronze but it was eating itself and almost done with the meal. Would not have taken much to knock the whole thing in half. Sinky scary.
Thanks for anyone that knows the answer!
