Actually, yes. A Dyneema halyard will pump less in gusts, meaning less movement, meaning less chafe. Added to chafe resistance, a Dyneema halyard lasts much longer. This only matters to people that fly a chute a lot of hours in a lot of wind.
I would not have thought of this, until it was pointed out to me.
