CS30 Pull out sleeper

Greetings all. I’ve recently purchased a nice 1986 CS30. Does anyone have any experience using the starboard setter pullout berth? It seems that the back cushion is on a hinge. Is this cushion removable or do I need to pull it up and tie it off to suspend it? Thank you in advance.
