Shout out out to Katadyn Spectra Watermakers

Wife and I took a little ride to Hawaii and back. Our boat came with a Spectra 150T that we'd never used it other to re-pickle since we have good tankage (130gal) and had just been coasting. We fired it up on the way out the gate and it the seams leaked like a sieve. When we got to Monterey I contacted Spectra tech support and was told it's common for the O rings to dry out over the years without use. He pointed me to youtube videos on replacing the o rings and connected me with a dealer to get the rings. Had them within 24 hours for $25 including shipping! Videos were excellent so I was able to have it up and running a few hours after getting the rings. So, great product given ease to repair and great company support. It worked like a champ on our trip. So nice to have something good to say about a company.

Nice to hear there are still a few reputable companies in the marine field.
What size do you have?

Hey Capta - ours is the 150T. The T stands for tropical which means the pump is sized for warmer water so it uses a little less power. I think the 150 stands for 150gal/day. Seemed to use about 5-6A producing about 8 gal an hour. They told me it would work fine in colder water albeit a little slower.

That sounds like low power draw.
I have no experience with them
