Can't help specifically with the 510 but I have a SL Seawolf 500 electric and disassembly was pretty straight forward. One of the main steps that cut everything loose was removing the shaft going though the clutches, the gypsy, etc.
The first time I took it apart I had to drive the shaft out (carefully) as the old bearings were seriously corroded and rusted onto the shaft.
I've seen several questions about this windless on this and "the other forum" over the years so surely someone will pop up with specifics. Meanwhile if you decide to go with something new there's plenty of people out there that would jump on this so don't toss it.
