fuel hose odor

I have tracked down an annoying ordor to the
diesel fuel hose which goes from my deck fill
to the tank. Not easy to replace without a lot of work. Is there anything to take away the odor, perhaps by sealing the hose. Hose is black rubber and seems to be in good shape. No fuel leaks.
