Free Books Very Worth Having

The 2 books above are free to download as Pdf's at this link. It is a gift from Steve Dashew. They are both excellent. Anyone wishing to sail offshore should have both. Especially at this price.

Re: Free Books Very Worth Having

I did add them to my library just last week for a nice read. I just have to remember I have them on the tablet now. I have this horrible loss of memory of new things like this as I try to absorb everything else.

Thanks. They're on my Kobo ready for summer reading.

Visualize the vastness of the oceans; the infinity of the heavens; the fickleness of the wind; the artistry of the craft and the frailty of the sailor. The oneness that may be achieved through the harmony of these things may lead one to enlightenment. - Flying Welshman

This was posted a week ago on "Seamanship and Navigation", but I guess not many people frequent that corner of Sailnet. Funny that, we being sailors and all.

Thanks for the link. And thanks to Linda & Steve Dashew for a very generous gesture.

Don't worry, I found them there, and while rained out in my tent last week on a solo backpacking rip, STS was great reading.
