Cat Cay to Chubb Cay

Looking to take my 6 ' draft Brewer Cutter from Cat Cay to Chubb Cay. Explorer charts suggest a one mile wide band of shallows ,6'/1.8m at 79.13W X 25.34W. After that it is a clear shot and deep.
Anyone done this route of late and can confirm depths???

Russ--The Explorer Charts are good. Time your departure for near high tide and you'll be fine. (The tide off-set from Nassau is given in the back of the Chart Guides and the folks at the Cat Cay can give you the times of Highs and Lows if you can't figure it out yourself.)

FWIW...

"It is not so much for its beauty that the sea makes a claim upon men's hearts, as for that subtle something, that quality of air, that emanation from the waves, that so wonderfully renews a weary spirit."

Re: Cat Cay to Chubb Cay

Do watch the tides 'just east' of Cat/Gun for best depth (6' MLW). Ive 'bumped' a few times through that area and since those episodes, I follow the Explorer Charts (on Garmin Chartplotter + hard copy) VERY closely for best results. The rule in that particular shallow area is: when the tides are LOW, slow down a bit.
