Fishing While Under Way

On our longer crossings we get a little bored... ok, even some of the shorter ones, so we always throw out a line. It keeps us entertained...usually. Our "real fisherman" friends are always telling us that we need to find ledges, use the right lures...blah blah blah... well it never seemed to work.
On our latest Navionics update they added SonarCharts for >1000 feet so we can see ledges. Since nothing else seemed to work we gave it a shot. We used the SonarCharts to find a good spot and sure enough we started pulling them in. Check out what we saw on our charts and the difference the SonarCharts made for us:

I really don't have the energy to retype it again, personally.
I suggest you search the site and you will find plenty of good info on this subject.
I don't think JR was asking anything. I may be paying more attention to the sonar charts though.

Upon rereading the post, I believe you are correct. Sorry.

Correct, wasn't really asking anything, just sharing my discovery. Hopefully the other sailors out there will find some great spots too and land some big 'uns!
