Re: Congress to extend USCG Documentation period

Yep. Kudos to Seven Seas Cruising Association Past President Scott Berg for leading the charge that made this happen.

Re: Congress to extend USCG Documentation period

Dunno what the exact problem is, but Microsoft Security Essentials calls that URL a security threat and suggested leaving immediately.

It is very common these days for a web page to have been hacked and malware added to it, without the owner/author's knowledge. Especially something "innocuous" like that one.

FWIW.

Blue Water Sailing has not been hacked. AVG doesn't flag the site and AVG is generally more conservative than MS Sec Ess.

Good news if it actually comes to pass!

Re: Congress to extend USCG Documentation period

It could be a false alert, and it may just be stealthy "gathering of data" i.e. planting odd tracking cookies or using a service that MSE frowns upon. I don't know, I just passed along the warning. Sometimes they are false alarms--usually it means something is on the page that does not need to be there. And is being hidden from the visitor.

This is certainly good news for all the long term cruisers out there. I'm looking forward to it myself.

My anti-virus blocked an attack from that website too. I would remove the link and find another.

So, how long is being proposed? It's about time this was extended. yay
