A(nother) example of getting old.

So I'm under my boat (a Hunter 30), applying some antifouling (VC-17) when some young whippersnapper walks by and says: "That a Hunter 34?"

I say, "No, it's a Hunter 30."

He says, "Looks great. Looks like you look after it."

I say, "Thanks." and he walks away.

I have to stop the antifouling and crawl out from under the boat to make sure I'm working on the right boat.

1989 Hunter 30'
Southern Georgian Bay

Visualize the vastness of the oceans; the infinity of the heavens; the fickleness of the wind; the artistry of the craft and the frailty of the sailor. The oneness that may be achieved through the harmony of these things may lead one to enlightenment. - Flying Welshman

Naw thats not the sign, it's the three day recovery needed after taking the afternoon painting the bottom.

Bottom paint on the wrong sail boat, that ain't old age. Old age is when you mistakenly put bottom paint on your car.

Did you put the bottom paint around the water-line because it's easier to reach? Now that would be gettting old!
