Arrived in NYC an hour ago. I would substantially prefer to be in Bermuda.

People can say they want freedom, but offer them the keys to what chains them, a map to where they want to go,

Well, ya can't just sit here!

Wish me luck. I prefer sunny days 10-15knots at 120 on the starboard side.

Yep it was an August like 85 F yesterday a chilly 55 today and blowing tonight. Chance of snow in the Adirondack mountains. Crazy swings this week.

Re: Heading to NYC now...

It's true, high winds and cold now.

"The National Weather Service is forecasting up to two inches of snow in parts of the Adirondacks in New York and the Green Mountains in Vermont, a summer flurry that could last from Wednesday night into Thursday."

It will be pleasant, around 70 - 80 degrees in the NYC area. But it looks like you should start looking for a girl friend there because through next weeks its is predicted to be a series of lows coming through but - the longer term models show a typical summer Bermuda High developing around the 19th.

Re: Heading to NYC now...

Mark why is it your worried about lows? Is it the side of it, you getting north winds? I'm just wondering because I sort of look for them 15 to 20 sw to se thats a sleigh ride for mio. Then again I'd be heading to RI I just feel I'm missing something you all are taking about.

You are missing the 35 knot north wrsterlies.

Scroll back a few posts to where someone said the Great Lakes was hit by 75 knots ... that I am avoiding.
And especially tropical lows getting caught with cold lows.

And... 25 knot SW's on a 20 foot swell from the north... ummm. So there's lots of considerations

Sunday is looking good now
