Yes it is rocky here but the holding is fine
There now are you? Very cool. We dropped the hook there, for lunch, a couple of weeks back. It's a common spot for some mega sailboats. I assume they either don't fit on the moorings or simply can't secure slip space. Often, they leave crew aboard, so any dragging is monitored.
That bottom is pretty unreliable, however. I've had a good hold, once in a while, but its in a rare spot (usually closer to the mooring balls) and I'm not certain it wasn't just stuck behind a rock that would pull loose, if we swung.
More than once, I've awakened to depart the following morning and had to retrieve my anchor from beneath the boat in front of me, who dragged over it during the night.
