Re: Bon Voyage SEA LIFE

Update on Sea Life 1:30PM
Boats AIS signal was picked up again.

Position Received: 3 min ago (2016-09-22 17:26 UTC)
Vessel's Local Time: 2016-09-22 12:26 (UTC -5)
Area: USEC - US East Coast
Latitude / Longitude: 38.6411° / -74.64982°
Status: Class B
Speed/Course: 5.9kn / 203°
AIS Source: 3076

Marine Trafffic says his AIS was picked up at the Big Stone Beach Anchorage but, he is clearly still out in the Atlantic northeast of Bethany Beach with a little drop in speed. Hopefully he is under sail.

Re: Bon Voyage SEA LIFE

low tide is around 9; 07 a.m. @ Hampton Roads, perhaps he's waiting for the current shift and grabbing a little rest, or he's taking his sails down and making breakfast. Or he left his wallet at a bar in NY ;-)

Or maybe some sleep deprived hallucinations have him believing that he really did see some Mermaids frolicking in the water a few miles back and he's going to check them out.

With Mark you never know but, usually someplace warm for the winter with a detour or two along the way.

Re: Bon Voyage SEA LIFE

I happen to like Portsmith, and tidewater marina as a stop, there are some great spots with mermaids, as long as he has his wallet.

Re: Bon Voyage SEA LIFE

Hugged the beach. No fishing pots.

Only north I did was dumping the sails just before some big bridge but there ain't no bridge. You can see trucks driving along but the bridge is gone (probably painting it). The trucks must have to turn around and come back.

Got the (new) genoa up going down the channel. Nice sail

People can say they want freedom, but offer them the keys to what chains them, a map to where they want to go,
And they'll turn it down for the cell they know

Re: Bon Voyage SEA LIFE

Last week, 17 miles off Atlantic City NJ, we had a humpback whale breach less than 100 yards from us! Almost made the NJ shore tollerable :-)
