Re: A bit of on topic humor

"On the ancient wall of China,
Where a brooding Buddha blinks,
Deeply graven is the message:
It is later than you think.
The clock of time is wound but once,
And no man has the power,
To tell just where the hands will stop,
At late or early hour.
Now is all the time you own,
The past a golden link.
Go sailing now my brothers,
It is later than you think..."

Nasman

Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.

Re: A bit of on topic humor

Though the important points of Trimmer's book are quite valid, my problem is more with smaller motorized craft. Has he written about them?

Re: A bit of on topic humor

Not having read the book, I'm wondering what differentiates a "huge" ship from the others?

"Any idiot can make a boat go; it takes a sailor to stop one." Spike Africa aboard the schooner Wanderer in Sausalito, Ca. 1964.
“Believe me, my young friend, there is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.” ― Kenneth Grahame, The Wind in the Willows

Haha.....didn't even see those. I can't see the connection among the books.
