Re: Hijacked page

Turn off your iPad. Wrap it in metal foil to make sure it is radio shielded.

Go to the nearest Apple Genius Bar, after stopping along the way to buy a dozen donuts and a large container of coffee.

Now, ask them for a basic course on internet scams and security.

If you don't want to buy the donuts...there are plenty of free web sites about it.

You start by COMPLETELY TURNING OFF all active scripts, all pop-ups, all third-party cross-linked things...and that applies to every browser on every device on this planet. The bad guys are winning, because there are too many sloppy programmers who are "forcing" too many unlearned people to have unsafe hex.

I think the donuts and field trip will be the most fun way to get things secured. And if you get a couple of bear claws in the box, whoever grabs for those is probably the geek you want to work with.

Or you know use a browser that supports an add-on such as Ublock Origin.
Sorry man, but sounds like you have adware.

Why was it only happening on this site?

Re: Hijacked page

I've had those a couple of times, and they popped up from normally safe websites. I got rid of them by closing the page (going to Task Manager and clicking 'end task' if necessary), then shutting down my computer or phone and restarting it. If it keeps coming back, there's usually a button somewhere that says something like 'do not reload this page.'
