That was a dumb move by Wild Oats they finished 20 minutes ahead . should have done the circle, they had to know they tacked to close.

Unfortunately the only video I saw kept cutting away to different angles. It looked like WO was going to safely cross Comanche but then tacked in front of Comanche at the last minute and forced them to head up. It could have just been the camera angles.

It looked pretty clear to me (and the jury), and WO certainly had someone watching who could've let them know that Comanche changed course...

They clearly fouled them by not keeping clear when they tacked. But in the video I saw it looked like they would have crossed ahead of them if they had not tacked. But again, it could have just been the angle of the video.

I'm glad to see that the pros use the same hand signals as regular beer can racers. You can clearly see the guys on Comanche throwing their arms up and pointing with that WTF expression.

From the video in the link it looked like WO was passing clear ahead until they tacked. The cut to the different camera angle appears to be delayed.
