Gary's Cook Book

Though I never got around to publishing this, I thought I would share the recipes with the nice folks on this forum before I kicked the bucket and they were lost in the PC for eternity. While the recipes were originally written in Word Perfect, you can open the files with MS Word. And, yes, they are all heart healthy, though at this stage of life, it really doesn't matter.

Many of the recipes involve fish and game, therefore, you may have to substitute for things such as squirrel, rabbit and pheasant. For any of these, chicken seems to work well.

You can download the files from https://app.box.com/s/wsq46gttgjhilufzq60ft6ughiazuzvp

Enjoy,

Gary

Thank you very much. Any we incorporate into Skipping Stone's charter menu we will give you the credit.

Re: Gary's Cook Book

Thanks Capta, I'm confident you will really enjoy many of them. And, if you are a chili fan, I took second place in a chili cooking contest with my chili recipe, and everyone loves my smoked salmon recipe, but it is very time consuming.

All the best,

Gary

Re: Gary's Cook Book

Thanks Gary. They look great. We’re getting a lot of free fresh cod right now. Looks like I can substitute cod into quite a few of your recipes.

Why go fast, when you can go slow.

Re: Gary's Cook Book

Yes, cod is a great tasting, sweet, flaky, white meat fish that is low in fat. It needs some spices to provide flavor, usually in the form of topping and or sauces.

All the best,

Gary

Re: Gary's Cook Book

Thanks, Gary. This is a gift to treasure.

My Beagles have passed on, but I zeroed in on the rabbit pot pie recipe anyway. Guess I'll have to go scare up a couple of bunnies on my own...

Try not to let the urgent override the important.

People can say they want freedom, but offer them the keys to what chains them, a map to where they want to go,
And they'll turn it down for the cell they know

There you go, and it appears to shoot and never run out of ammo
