it's kind of relative --- the Adirondacks generally get about 100 inches of snow... and 20 years ago it would generally stay... but there are thaws and rain... This year it stayed cold most of the winter, place a couple inches on top every so many days

Re: 2' of snow

Yeah I got out racing on a friend's new Beneteau 36.7 yesterday and I ended up peeling off layers until I was wearing bib pants and a light sweater...and I was too hot!

And yes, there are flowers starting to bloom!

Re: 2' of snow

Minneapolis gets an average of 54" of snow per year. We're only slightly above that, but it all happened recently. We got 39" of snow in February!

Normally we're starting to thaw by now, but we're still packed under.

I went out snowshoeing on Sunday. It was a couple degrees below zero. The robins were out, usually a sign of spring, but it was cold so they were all super fluffy. I got a good picture of one:

Nothing like an extra couple feet of snow to get me dreaming about the water...

Re: 2' of snow

We got another 3" this morning. This pic is from this morning. I spent 6 hrs digging it out so I can use the trailer.

Re: 2' of snow

February was the second snowiest month in history where I live. The top of the ski resort got 193", only 94" in town. This photo is the post office near my home. The snow has gotten so high there is no room for the snow to slide off the roof.
