Yesterday, for the first time, I noticed a new outboard down here named, SEA-TEC.
After the tiniest bit of research, it is a brazen rip off of a Yamaha design, "SEA-TEC gives you the advantage of owning an engine that uses the same technology and spare parts as Yamaha." Go figure?
As we all know, China can build to any specks desired, and I'm wondering if this is a cheap knock-off, or a real attempt to unseat Yamaha as the undisputed best outboard made?
Does anybody have any personal experience now with them?
I should know something in a year or so because it is on a West Indian workboat.
