our new Mirage 236 for free

Well, We just got a Mirage for free. I think it will be the most expensive "free" boat I have owned. It needs interior work, and cleaning, but it is sea worthy. I have just 3 problems.

1) No rudder. The tiller and mounting is complete, but the actual rudder is missing.

2) No boom.

3) No sails.

I know where to get sails, and most of the other stuff is just maintenance, and clean up.

Does anybody know where to find rudders and booms, or specs for a Mirage 236?

Where did the 236 from?

Is it a Canadian built Mirage? The only size close to that is the Mirage 24.

Canadian built and 23'6"

I think it is canadian built, and the references we have is the 236 is 23 feet 6 inches. A 24 would be close.

i raced on a friends Mirage 236 the last few years. fast but touchy boat. It should be from the Florida company. A sailmaker from SC bought this one and seemed to have a great deal of knowledge on the Mirage line. You might try to get in touch with him. His name was Joe Waters and his website is Water Sails - Home. (I am not affiliated in any way.)
