bilge of a grampian 26

I am about to purchase a Grampian 26 but i have a concern with water in the bilge even if the boat is in dry dock! Is this normal?

As anyone know if there is problem with keel attachment with Grampian 26 center board version? Are the bolt on the picture seams to rusted? There seams to be a crack length wise close to the bolt attachment is this a concern?

As anyone try to drop the keel to reseal it?

Re: bilge of a grampian 26

Water in the bilge is normal for a boat with a stuffing box . When they put it on the hard it would have been nice to dry the bilge . IMO you do not need to drop the keel . I am fairly certain the crack you are referring to is basically cosmetic , but you will want to fix the crack with filler . The keel bolts look good . Grampian made a good boat . Some people have them here and they seem to have a popular following .
