new guy here

Hello to all.
I recently retired, age 60. I have owned many power boats over the years but I have just bought my first sailboat. Shes a C&C design, Lancer 30 and a beauty! She came with transferable moorage in Sequim Bay, John Wayne Marina. WA. Everything is ship shape and she's ready to sail. I have a few upgrades in mind, autohelm, chart plotter, and a few more creature comforts. She's going to be a live aboard, my new home and a return to home waters for me after 30 years of being way to far inland. Having been born and raised in Port Angeles, I grew up with the dream of someday sailing my own boat, living aboard, as I had seen many do as I grew up. I knew we were destined to be together when I saw her name, Full Circle. Indeed! She also came with a new friend, the previous owner, a man with many many years sailing the world over and willing to teach and share his knowledge. Thank you Capt'n Jon, for helping make dreams come true! Cheers and fair winds to all. Herb

Welcome! Looks like a perfect combination: a good boat and an experienced sailor to teach you the ropes (literally).

Thank you! and thanks to all for the warm welcome. I agree, as it turns out meeting the previous owner and making such a good friend and sailing mentor, the purchase of the boat seemed secondary. Ya just meet the best folks around sailboat's.
