Me my Herreshoff Neriea

Thanks for having me aboard.

I travel with my partner and 4 month old on our Herreshoff 38ft steel Neriea (cutter rig). I am also the developer of Zulu Waterways. We are traveling within Australia.

Look forward to making the most of this Forum.
Thanks again.
Nicholas.

Can you tell us about your boat? Maybe a snap or two?

Re: Me my Herreshoff Neriea

Yes for sure. She is a round bilge steel Herreshoff Neriea. They are usually ketch rigged but this one was built as a cutter. Classic design that was taken and built down in tasmania in Australia from steel to a good quality. She is a very see kindly boat, 16tonne displacement and a high ballast ratio makes her motion comfortable, and because of her large rig she still moves pretty well in light winds (could be better). Powered by a 50hp volvo penta. I've sailed her from adelaide to Sydney and now from Sydney to Yamba (northern NSW) where we had to stop a while to have our daughter. Now just planning to enjoy summer here in Yamba and wait for Cyclone season to end up north before continuing to Whitsunday and beyond.
