Hello from Whistler!

Just joined this amazing community and wanted to say hi.

Living in the mountains here, but preparing for an ocean adventure.

Nice to Meet Everyone,

Marty

P.S. If anyone can suggest a robust, slightly fast, bluewater/long passagemaker...to be singlehanded (40' +/-) please post!

Re: Hello from Whistler!

Given your parameters here is my favorite.

Unless you have enough money for one of their big yachts.

Yes and no. I have been there since 1991 with a 17 year hiatus. I had to leave for a while because the sailing season is too short here.

I too am trying to figure out how to balance a lifestyle 800 miles from the coast and wanting to sail more. Tell me how much you have to spend and i can tell you what I would buy.

I always wanted to visit Whistler, closest i got was Calgary in both winter and summer.
