Hi From Seattle

Hey all!

Long time lurker, relatively new poster out of Seattle. I purchased a MKI Catalina 30 tall rig a few weeks and looking forward being part of the community and getting out on the water this summer (just as soon as my standing rig is replaced...)!

Re: Hi From Seattle

Welcome! The TR should be a great boat for around here. Where are you keeping her?

Re: Hi From Seattle

Thanks! I figured with a 5 ton boat I'd need just about every square inch of sail I could find to keep her moving during our summer months.

She's moored on SLU at the moment in a slip that's entirely too big (40'). I'm crossing my fingers for a 32' to open up in the next few months or I'll likely need to move her somewhere less convenient but more appropriately size (I'm downtown).

Re: Hi From Seattle

Welcome aboard Aaron, Catalina 30 tall rigs are nice boats...I sail with a buddy who has one, lots of interior room for the size, and handles reasonably well.
