Re: Myself

Welcome but, I think you might be a bit confused on this site's purpose. We are all actual sailors of various abilities and experience. Most own their own sail boat as well. Maybe you could try one out on one of your port stops. Sailing is the best thing ever.... well to us anyway... maybe not the best ever but close....

Re: Myself

Welcome aboard, but frankly that is a different type of cruising than most of us associate with SailNet. I hope you enjoy your voyage.

Re: Myself

Welcome.
Don't let all these snobby (lol) sailboat types put you off. As far as I'm concerned, if you are on a boat, any kind of boat, and going out in the world exploring, then you are one of us.
And maybe this is the spark that starts you sailing. Have a grand adventure.

"Any idiot can make a boat go; it takes a sailor to stop one." Spike Africa aboard the schooner Wanderer in Sausalito, Ca. 1964.
“Believe me, my young friend, there is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.” ― Kenneth Grahame, The Wind in the Willows

Re: Myself

Its a new ship.... Obviously the shipbuilders were drunk... someone put a roadway on the top deck and was 'moved by alcohol' when painting the sides!

People can say they want freedom, but offer them the keys to what chains them, a map to where they want to go,
And they'll turn it down for the cell they know
