New to the community

Good morning,

My wife and i are looking to for and adventure for our 10th anniversary. We would like to learn how to sail. We have looked into the live aboard courses in the United States.

Does such a course exist in Canada in the Great Lakes region. we would really like to find something either in Owen sound area of Lake Huron or the Kinsgton area of Lake Ontario.

Thank you in advance for your help

Jeff and Wendy

Re: New to the community

Welcome Jeff and Wendy.

I hope your intererest in sailing lasts well beyond your anniversary adventure but lessons are a great way to start. The courses where you live on the boat for a week or so can be fun, but you might want to try out a weekend course first to see if you even like sailing, then go on to bigger things from there.

American Sailing Associtian and US Sailing both offer on-water courses and have many locations throughout the US.

In the meantime, Sailnet is also a great way to get information to questions you didn't realize you had and possibly to even lead you to buying a boat you didn't know you wanted!
