This made me laugh. I am 100% of the opinion that any boat can sail anywhere given precautions to weather and conditions are made. I personally sailed an Irwin 37CC from La Paz Mexico to Brisbane, Australia in 2016-2018. There is no denying that the Irwin 37 isnt the best sail boat ever built, but did it make it to its destination with little fuss - YES! The only thing we did before setting of was replace standing rigging and install an oversized autopilot to help battle the weather helm that is almost always present.

Leaving NZ in the middle of winter to head to Brisbane we were caught in a 50+ knot blow which we hoved to in for 8 hours to let it blow by. Surprisingly the boat was incredibly easy to balance and rode the weather out no problem.
