Dear Waymar
OK, thank you. Pretty much basics, but also showing that a lot of things have to be right to be in the front.
Keep up

Re: Jeanneau Attalia

Hi there everyone,

Congratulations Waymar to your success. I'm still working on mine...

As I told you about before our new mainsail was delayed, but we got it before the vacation. We're very satisfied with the new sails and rigg, although I'm still learning how to sail the boat as good as possible. I suppose (hope) that is a lifelong challenge.

I'm planning to buy a plotter this winter. We've been using an iPad with a navigational program called Seapilot. The program is good but it's difficult to see the charts in sunlight. I'm thinking about a plotter from B&G och Garmin. Do any of you have any ideas on what is good or not?

Hi Waymar,

We changed to a new furling system for the genoa. Nowadays we have a Facnor Flatdeck which is very good.

Re: Jeanneau Attalia

New to me Attalia being delivered next week. First order of business is replacing some of the sanitation lines. Can someone tell me how/where I access the waste holding tank? Thanks!

Re: Jeanneau Attalia

Hello again. Quick question on electrical issue with my new boat. Most of the interior lights have been upgraded to LED and occasionally they dim or go off and I cycle then house battery a few times and hey come back on. I've traced all of the wires and cleaned all contacts to no avail. I'm guessing it's an issue with the fuse panel. Can anyone comment on how they resolved this?

Re: Jeanneau Attalia

Hi Chris,
I'm not sure all holding tanks are in the same spot but my aluminum tank is in the cockpit locker closest to the head. There is a fiberglass cover that can be unscrewed and you have direct access to the tank and all the hoses.

Regarding the lights, if they dim or go off it, sounds like a problem of continuous current/voltage. Could be weak battery (I doubt its the fuse panel). Connect a voltmeter and monitor the voltage. If you have a fridge it could happen when the fridge cycles on and the voltage/current temporarily dips.

Hello Jeanneau Attalia owners. I have a 1986 model that needs the Cutlass Bearing replaced. The marina is having difficulty finding a replacement one. Does anyone know what model and where I can find one? I am located in Toronto in Canada.

Thanks

I’m away from my records right now but I had the same issue . The problem is that Jeanneau is in metric and what is available in Canada is not , so it’s ever so slightly off. I had one installed and it did not last long . If I recall, I sourced it similar to Beneteau and had it installed and it’s still perfect.
I’ll get back to you this weekend with more details !
