Wish we could have found out what happened. Hope the OP didn't wind up getting hosed with fines and such...

I hope they got their boat out of there. However, I wouldn't call it being hosed with fines, if it's still stuck. There probably should be fines, after reasonable period of time, if you abandon your boat.

I suspect that his excitement has waned and frustration has peaked...

Yea, who would have ever thought of swirling chocolate and vanilla ice cream together. I wonder if it has a drop of beer in it. If so, likely not more than a drop, because alcohol is an antifreeze.

Still, I do love when brand loyalty stretches like that. Good on them!

Sure, but this guy bought this boat, his first, probably for a song probably unaware of the sort of costs involved and difficulties of getting it refloated. I'm assuming, at least.

Would be a shame if his first experience with boat ownership was as a frustrating legal liability and total loss financially.

Re: Just got first sailboat but..

Okay I had several replies for an update so here we go.
I'm still stuck I'm demasted although I have a tow scheduled for Sunday.
Not a seatow towing but a guy with experience and the supposedly proper equipment to do the job. I put together enough money to pay someone like that.
I tried most of the suggestions on here and many others and still this is where I am and appreciate everyone's good wishes and advise however I'm living on her now and it's all I do all day everyday and I really don't want to answer a hundred questions about it right now so I will just post again next week hopefully that everything is good and I'm on the hard in green cove springs marina doing some other repairs!

Yes best of luck. We just came out of GCSM.

It’s easy to get stuck “on the hard” there. Lots of fellas do.

Good luck.
