not just learning to sail, learning how to use forum

I have used many forums in the past, but cant seem to figure out how to respond to particular posts, or quote peoples' answers. So if I don't answer or acknowledge advice given me, don't take it personally. I do read every response to my posts

Where is Sailing Dog to be the forum rules police when you need him.

Cross posting is strictly against forum decorum.

This isn't cross posting, I was acknowledging advice given to me resulting from my post asking for help learning to sail, while at the same time apologizing for any lack of responses. No where in this post was I asking for help in posting. I have already posted that request in the appropriate area.
If you would like any help with literary comprehension, or in other words, understanding the meaning or scope , of posts, I can direct you to some great sites.

People can say they want freedom, but offer them the keys to what chains them, a map to where they want to go,
And they'll turn it down for the cell they know

I apologize , Don0190, for being a smartass. I guess I do tend to take things too personally sometimes. It's no excuse, but I guess I have been a little stressed about my possible boat damage, since I'm living on the hook, and I guess I got frustrated about someone worrying about cross posting. Again, no excuse. And again, I apologize

This site is NOT optimized for mobile devices. Lately, I have been unable to get it to even load on my Android phone. So the answer is, break out your tablet, PC or MAC and read the forum.

At the bottom of EVERY post are "buttons" to "like | share"

I've never used that last one, and probably never will.

Tapatalk, it's an app for both IOS and Android, get it if you want to forum with your phone.

I use my laptop first, pad second.
I went into Taptalk in my phone just to see how easy it is. Except for typing on a phone's keypad, which sucks it's seamless. You can use it to participate in multiple forums.

+1 on Taptalk. It works much better than the dedicated SN mobile tool (at least it did the last time I tried to use the SN version). Ive been using it to access both SN and CF for years now. Works great. Still not as easy as on the PC, but pretty easy and functional.

Why go fast, when you can go slow.
