Just suck on a hose. Stop before it comes out your nose. May take some practice. No batteries required

Effective, but seems like a lot of unnecessary work. I just use a standard outboard engine hose with built in hand primer. Simple, easy, no mess, no fuss:

My last boat had a stupid fueling set up. I experimented with a bunch of options, in the end I went with the shaker syphon. Really easy.

without buying more and more stuff to store on a boat... just stuffa hose into a jug, make a seal on mouth of jug, BLOW INTO JUG and watch the liquid come out the hose. easy peasy.
why do folks insist on drinking the stuff of siphoning when there is a smarter way.
