Well, if the gap continued to get worse even after torquing the keel bolts and a season of sailing I would certainly take a deeper look. The gap has not increased (it is just a hairline crack) and I have learned a few things about the issue in the past few years. I am comfortable with my current maintenance plan.

One thing I wish I had done while it was still hanging from the travelift at haulout is inspect the keel.

We sailed hard this season in some rough seas.
No cracks at hull/keel joint at haulout! I was pleasantly surprised.
I need to sand the joint next spring as VC-17 did not adhere to residual sillycone.
