Digging the gohoist. Where did you get the jack stands you are using there?

Oh man... that Gohoist would solve a LOT of the problems I'm having trying to restore a boat 150+ miles away from the nearest marina with a boat hoist.

Hi CrusPD26, wonder how the Honda 15 worked for you this year.

You do deserve a medal and have my vote again for the Grand Poo-bah of the Parker Dawson community with Stagg as Vice Grand Poo-Bah.

Re: New owner of a Parker Dawson 26 Ketch

Cool to see folks are using these boats and restoring them!
I coveted a PD26 when I was an avid trailer sailor, especially after reading about Bob Lengyel racing one in the 1976 Ostar race
I almost bought one that was for sale in RI but opted for a Chrysler 26 which had nice cabin space but didn't sail as well as the PD26.
I'm in bigger boats these days but still like the ability to trailer remote plsces, and keep the boat at home.

Re: New owner of a Parker Dawson 26 Ketch

A rolling stone gathers no moss:

Trailer bearings packed, everything checked out, new goal posts added to assist launch and recovery. Leaving Smithville lake as we do every year for our annual trip.

This time it's over the river and through the woods headed east past the Appalachian mountains towards the Chesapeake Bay

No, did not need it. But the long downgrades and tight turns were times I was glad to have spent the time working on the trailer prior to leaving.

Rigging up at Machodoc Marina on the Chesapeake.

In the slip for the season. I am excited to get to do some sailing on the weekends while I am working out east for the summer.
