PS 34 year 1992

On my bow SS pulpit a couple of hold down bolt heads have broken off. Are these lag bolts of do they screw into a nut. Looks like the bottom of the bolts are mostly in the chain locker - how are these replaced? Looks like a job for a midget.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: PS 34 year 1992

I have an 87 PS 34, so I imagine it's the same. On mine, they screw into a nut, with washers as "backing plates" if I remember right. I emptied out all ground tackle from the anchor locker, removed the wooden divider between the 2 sides of the anchor locker, and then weasled my way up into the chain locker - ?maybe on my back? It was a couple of years ago, and the memory fades a bit... It wasn't that hard as I recall, but then again the memories of bleeding knuckles fade over time - I think I may have used a ratchet with a long extension..

The bolts for the forward feet of the bow pulpit are in the chain locker. You will enjoy working on them. I did. https://www.sailnet.com/forums/pacifi...ht-wiring.html

My wife is very small and has small hands. I'm big with big paws. These tasks are hers. I stand by to hand her tools and offer encouragement.
