Crealock 34 mast tang bolts and nuts

Hi all,
I am the owner of a 1988 Crealock 34 equipped with LeFiell spars. I have recently undergone a project of repainting the mast and replacing all standing rigging. In doing so I removed all of the tangs. I am now looking to reattach these however require replacement Nylock locknuts. I have since found these are not metric but imperial. Would anybody happen to know the size and threading for these nuts?
Cheers in advance!

Just a thought, James: it might be worth replacing the bolts and nuts and perhaps the tangs as well as these are not uncommon points of failure. If you call Lefiell, they will sell you the proper nuts, bolts, tangs etc. They are online, but I've found it's better to call them to ensure you get the right stuff for your model and year. I did this with my 34 and it worked out well.

Hi Dave,

Many thanks indeed. Will replace both bolts and Nylock nuts.

FYI and anyone else interested, I messaged LeFiell regarding replacement parts when I encountered a spreader problem and received the following response:

“We have shut down our marine products division in order to solely focus on the aerospace business. We sold all our inventory to Forespar. Please contact them at 949-858-8820”

Upon messaging Thumper I was told they were having similar issues obtaining replacement parts for LeFiell spars.

Cheers,
James

By eye, as I have no thread gauge and I'm not pulling mine apart right now as we are anchored in the Bahamas, the tang bolt just below the spreader is 5/8-11 UNC x 6". It has a 15/16 head and that matches.

Thanks for the intel, James. That's too bad about Lefiel. They were always a great resource for parts and knowledge.
