Voyage Of The Swan website lives again.

Hi everyone,

Since I pulled my website down in 2016 to save a little money, I have been bombarded with requests for the pdf file, which I have honored. However, the pdf file only has the thumbnail pictures, not the enlarged versions that the website had. Those features, plus others are now available at the new web address"

http://www.voyageswan.com

Some features of the old site are missing, like some of the videos. I will be replacing them as soon as I can reload them on YouTube for the links on the site.

Please note: we no longer own Swan, but it is for sail by the present owner after he did a refit and added many new upgrades. Swan lies in Tahiti and is listed on Yachtworld (https://www.yachtworld.com/boats/199...ft-34-3210326/) and Sail Tahiti (http://www.sailtahiti.com/en/portfol...tfolioCats=223).

Re: Voyage Of The Swan website lives again.

Thanks Dave:
We bought our PS 34 just a year ago. Your site was highly recommended by a a Coast Guard couple who cruised a PS 34. I spent several hours studying your website before launching. With the failure of the DSS stuffing box and the ensuing haul out I reread parts on dropping the rudder and other key installations.

In short your site provided me with invaluable information for the maintenance and upkeep of our PS34. Last time I looked the site was different and somehow not as good. Thanks for updating it

Smooth Sailing

Thanks, Charlie.

I am going to try and bring it back to snuff. HTML is not my first language.

Have fun with Windrunner.

Re: Voyage Of The Swan website lives again.

Dave,

Thank you for that. I purchased a PSC 31 this year. I have found your blog very useful to learn about my boat. It is also great to be able to enlarge the thumbnail photos.

Thanks,

Mark

Re: Voyage Of The Swan website lives again.

You're welcome, Mark,

It's amazing how much hardware on the 31 is identical to what's on the 34. Smart move on PSC's part, but a boon for 31 owners as well.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for doing this - there've been many times I was looking for your website to look something up and couldn't get access.

Cheers,
Joost

Re: Voyage Of The Swan website lives again.

Great to see your invaluable website is back in action! It has been very helpful over the years and its great to be able to access it in its website form, rather than the pdf files.. (and thanks for sending the pdfs a few years back as well). Hope all is well.
Thanks, Nate

Re: Voyage Of The Swan website lives again.

Just out of curiosity, why no roller furling on the head sails? As someone who circumnavigated before RF was available, it seems counter intuitive for ocean cruising on such a small boat.

"Any idiot can make a boat go; it takes a sailor to stop one." Spike Africa aboard the schooner Wanderer in Sausalito, Ca. 1964.
“Believe me, my young friend, there is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.” ― Kenneth Grahame, The Wind in the Willows
