To be truthful, it was blowing less than 10 knots when I sent the spinnaker up. I knew I had rhumbline over the bottom of 26 n.m. to go that day and most of the way was against a current. If I knew it was going to build that much, I wouldn't have sent it up either.

On the other hand, I covered the 26 n.m. in 3 hrs and 40 minutes. Definitely a memorable sail.

Jeff:
It's sure fun to be able to look back on those stand out days sailing.
I'm 71 now. I do a lot of looking back.
Like the day I holed the 150 yard approach shot.
"Where's my ball?" "
" Hey Bob, it's in the cup!"
" I meant to do that."

To my small but faithful SailNet group:
Here are some snaps from the yard today. We are slowly getting beyond the ugly duckling stage.
I think the pics are self explanatory but you know I am always happy to answer questions when I can.
Here you go. Enjoy:

That is exquisite, Bob...fabulous design meticulously crafted....looks like it should be in a museum but we're all happy to know that it won't be, at least for a while! Thank you for continuing to share these photos.

Re: Bob Perry's Carbon Cutters

Just beautiful Bob.

What kind of wood is the caprail, and what is the finish?

mstern:
Cap rail is teak. I'll find out the finish for you. I think the plan is varnish.

Finish on cap rail will be teak oil. Should be varnish but we'll see.

Thanks to whoever posted my images for me. I assume it was Jeff. Thanks.
