, After four months of trying I have a Gin pole that will raise my Nimble Artic 26 Mast I must stand on the pilot house to steady the mast as it rises or falls. My current problem is that the mast bottom catches on the mast step and so will not fully rise to an upright position.

My wife does not have much upper body strength, but she would still like to be able to raise the mainsail on our Catalina 30 Tall Rig on her own. The obvious solution is to use the starboard jib winch. The trouble is that the fairlead and cleat for the main halyard are on top of the cabin...

Hi sailors. I have two Barbarossa winches (I guess they are original and would be from 1981) wich are in need of maintence. They wount "stop", so they go backwards if I let go of the line... My wife and I have sailed it a few times, and it's pretty nice, with one exception - I can't quite get the swing keel to lock in place with the locking bolt. The keel winch, although rusted, works fine to lower the...

Greetings all. I am parting out a Gulfstar 45 and have a number of items available including a stainless steel arch with integrated davits and swiveling outboard hoist arm, Panda 6kw generator with about 1,000 hours, Anderson 52 and 28 self-tailing two-speed winches (two each), mast, boom, etc.

We bought a '86 Irwin Citation 38 last year. The boat's owner didn't do much maintence, I imagine the winches were never serviced. We know that the barlow (2 speed) self tailing winches don't self tail properly. One doesn't do it at all and the other - the line constantly slips. We are...
