I'm pretty sure that the '75 33 is a solid layup hull too. The deck will most certainly be balsa cored, though.
These are a decent design that were from C&C's heydays so if not too neglected she should be a good boat. Enough room for family cruising with enough speed to do well in PHRF if handled properly.
For coastal jaunts in relatively open waters (as opposed crossings) she should do fine, of course you should keep an eye on the weather in any case.
The trick, as always, is to find a good example of these 30+ year old boats. When you do you get a lot of boat for your money!
