Engine died after working for a couple of hours after winter layup. Had recently drained rancor then refilled with bulb pump. Now I can easily bleed to screw at injector pump inlet but not at top of injectors. Have tried for hours the last using suction pump suggested by a member but not a drop. Rechecked rancor found a quart of water. Pumping out tank now but very little water found there...a cup can water mess up the injector pump, where the pump is internal what is the next step? I am at wits end.
Thanks

That much water in the fuel system is a major problem. Must have something like rainwater getting into the tank. First get all the water out and figure out how it got there. Then refill the system with fresh fuel and bleed the system following the instructions in the Yanmar manual.

The bulb pump or the manual mechanical pump next to the primary filter will only get fuel to the injector pump. you cannot hand pump through the high pressure injector pump unless you can put 500 pounds of hand pressure on that bulb. You have to crack the fitting at each injector and crank the engine to get the fuel and air through the injector pump. Air will not pump through the injector as it will compress and not go through. you must open the connection at the injector. crank the engine and tighten each connection as it pumps a solid stream of fuel.
