A tall ship??

No really, an oyster dredge has become a tall ship??

Looks kinda puny compared to Kruzenshtern or even Eagle.

Pretty, but, ah, even on my fourth pint, I couldn't keep a straight face and call that a tall ship.

NJ calls it it's tall ship. I don't, just repeating what is said. "sigh"

Or are you one of the starched white shirts that seem quite prevalent?
Perhaps you are not in the picture at all.

Cale, I was not in the photo and I didn't take the photo either. I was sitting up in the club watching. The guys on the left are our "crew" the others are from other clubs on the river. the girls are our outgoing princess and queen of the DRYL and the girl with the cast is our new princess. We don't really break our princesses leg so they won't go to another club

I don't know what defines a "tall ship" but I was lucky enough to see the A.J. Meerwald under sail once and she is a VERY pretty ship.

A "tall ship" is one powered by sails, which require masts, which, particularly compared with the height above the water of powered ships of equal size, are "tall" (tho' some are taller than others, eh?)

It's a lovely photo, and lovely ship, and surely taller than mine (tho' most agree that size really doesn't matter, eh?)
