Short cycling. No, its not old. Most likely pinhole leak in line

If it's just throwing on some gauges and adjusting refrigerant start with Vining's Landing Marina at (757) 587-8000. If they can't do it they'll have a recommendation.

I'm not sure they are up to fixing pinholes other than by vacuuming it out and replacing the line.

Danfoss compressor? the "module" is hyper sensitive to just about everything. check all wire connections, fan connection, fan. did the short cycles just happen or have they become progressively short? If you hear "gurgling in the evaporator and it starts to get cold most like it doesn't need refrigerant.
