I'm about half-way through.. really enjoying them. I wonder if some folks here watched one or two and just pased her off as some hippie..../

Yup.. I tried (a few months ago), but am not a fan. To me, it feels like A homeless person living on a boat.

Again.. That is just me! I'm sure others will find her stuff entertaining. Each to thier own, its what make our world great!

Aren't most people who are cruising sailors, homeless, but for their boat?

Your comment implies, unless you have a boat and a House you give off the aura of homeless.

Certainly she or hour significant other do not exude a sense of wealth as many other sailing vlogs do. I would not only say, 'to each his or her own,' but also -- "the world is not, just one way."

Lazy slob lifestyle? from watching her videos, or because of watching the videos I am way more lazy than she is . .. and both her and Pete worker harder in a day than I do in a week. and they are way more proficient.

The videos remind me more of a parallel universe to Cruising LeaLea (minus a life in the corporate world and retirement). I like both of them for different reasons....

One factor I like is they are about eight minutes long...so one or two don't swallow up a lot of time (albeit 20 do).

Edit: it needs to be added that when it comes to telling a story she is really good. She uses a lot of itneresting video devices -- like split screen, also the audio is supreme compared to a lot of other sailing videos that for some reason think the white noise of wind is good.

Just the fact that most of the music is written by her significant other and played by the family.. puts it above a lot of videos that one might think is cool, but if you took the funky hiphop out, would not...

Probably, if you want to grade me D minus, since I chose to point out the two in the Vlog in question are far from lazy and I am lazy.

yet, she doesn't have a (traditional) home. I was without a home (twice) for a total about four months... living with friends. not chronic, but I think she has been without house, much longer, but it seems she quite happy in her (boat) home

Her lifestyle and videos are not for me but that doesn't mean I condemn it. It simply means she is free do and live as she pleases as long as she is self supporting. I'm free to watch and support the vlogs I like. We are just different people walking different paths.

Agreed and understood... First off I don't have the patience, and skills to own and work on a wood boat. But I am really fascinated by all the various people who can keep up such a lifestyle

For example: because of a job in one place and owning a house in another, I found it cheaper to rent an apartment where I work -- I now own two households... and dare I say, each place has maybe twice as much stuff than you will have on your boat.

Of course in their case they seem to have access to or own a work shop where they can work on boat items or refurbish a Volkswagon MircoBus.

There are many flavors of ice cream... most I will never try for the lack of interest, how every I do like the variety

Edit: but the looks of watches on your channel, there appears to be more people who like you who she isn't their cup of tea... less than 2,000 watches

Kourtney and Pete are good people, and have lots of friends.She actually lived on a Hunter 27 before she met Pete.

She kind of alludes to all of this... some, like her first sailboat, she defers to the hope you will read her boat.

All the work they get done, you can see it is with help from friends.

SailNet, like many sailing sites attracts a lot of folks who are dipping their toe in the water, contemplating adding sailing to their lives. As any regular SailNet reader can testify, there are widely different ideas about how to enjoy wind and water, and how to start and where to take the sailing experience. Videos like these are helpful in introducing a particular and very personal viewpoint to someone coming into the sport to as a newcomer or someone perhaps open to the ideas being prevented. The well presented ideas seem responsible, legal and one logical approach to living 'the life'. At least from my point of view, this is a good thing.

Reading the book, Accidental Sailor Girl... and at one point she was homeless, unless you consider a car is a home...

After a series of hostels and couch surfing.. her home, that stopped her from being homeless ---- a boat.
