Almost liveaboards....less than a month!
Well, we've been very busy. First - we've sold our house. A private sale, we signed the contract April 10th and we close on May 23rd. So, since April 10th, we have quickly been going through 35 years of Life. We are taking furniture, etc to 3 consignment stores and storing the rest. We are totally done in by 4 everyday...but, we are sleeping well. Ha
We've changed our address to a UPS Store, and have started making the change with banks, credit cards, insurances, cancelling services, etc. Today we are going down to get our drivers license changed to our new address.
Hopefully we'll be living on our boat by the last week of May...we will go up to where it is, rent a hotel and then clean the inside and re-outfit with what we think we need, to live comfortably.
This spring we've had or it is still being added: solar power, all new water lines, vent hoses, and a water filter system to the head and galley, updating all fuel hoses, exhaust hoses, etc on our Atomic 4, all non-skid redone, the hull lines repainted, the bottom repainted, the hull waxed and buffed.
We plan on living on our boat thru Nov...and at that point we will decide if we want to take her on down the TomBigBee, etc to warmer weather and waters for the winter. That is my wish, I'm hoping Hubs decides that it is his, too. He is actually getting excited about living on the boat. Which I am so thankful for.
Once our "new" home is set up, I'll post pictures. Wish us luck and watch out for us on Kentucky Lake, we are newbie sailors!!
